Scotland and a Baltic Cruise - Here we come!
Tuesday, August 5th, 10:20 am and off we go to Edinburgh, the Scottish Highlands and St. Andrews. Then on August 13th, we fly to Copenhagen where we meet up with Mike, Carla and Ric and Vicki Green for a couple days before we go on 13-day Baltic cruise.
Afte departing LAX (and LAX even had a Vegan restaurant and Karen had a nice breakfast there) we landed in Miami, changed planes and headed to London on the red-eye arriving at 11 am, Wednesday, August 6th. Once in London, another plane change and a short hop to Edinburgh. All flights were on time and Business Class is "The only way to fly"!
This is the beginning of a new adventure and another opportunity to share with family and friends. Since this is our first blog in a couple years, it took Bill, a Samsung rep and friend Bob McCord a couple days to get us up and working again. A big thank you to Gabriel (Samsung rep at Best Buy) and Bob for patience and support.
Now it's Wednesday, 7:15 pm nearly 30-hrs later! We arrived at the Edinburgh City Hotel about 3 pm and dropped our bags and started our adventure. We walked for nearly 3-hrs around the Castle grounds and city before getting dinner. We are now back at our room and trying desperately to stay awake a little longer so we don't wake up at 4am.
Our tummys are full after a great dinner at the 1780 restaurant. Bill had a great chicken burger with lots of fries and Karen had a yummy mushroom risotto with grilled asparagus.
Below is a picture of the restaurant and the view from our table.
We have a full day planned for tomorrow so I am sure we will have much to tell you. Nighty night.
