Christmas Tree Farm Inn & Spa

Stunningly spectacular! Wow!  Vivid colors!  God's paintbrush is working overtime!  This is all we were saying and thinking today as we drove miles and miles through Maine and New Hampshire's tree lined highways, but back to the beginning.

We woke up in our lovely room after a good nights sleep.  We enjoyed a breakfast of fruit, granola, and toast (Karen) and French toast, strawberries, and bacon (Bill) and sadly departed from the beautiful town of Castine, Maine.

On our way out of Castine, we stopped by the Dice's Head Lighthouse, just a short distance from the Inn.

Just so you know - you cannot capture the true vivid colors we are seeing in these trees, so here are some pictures along our journey to today's destination - Jackson, New Hampshire.

We checked into the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa (their address is Blitzen Way) and settled into our suite in the Carriage House (on Dancer Way). We have a nice living room with fireplace, TV and balcony, a large bedroom with another TV and huge bathroom with a gigantic Jacuzzi tub and separate shower here in the White Mountains surrounded by trees.

We then took a short ride to Jackson Falls, which were not big water falls but more like water tumbling over large rocks as the stream goes downhill. It was easy walking out on the rocks because they were farely flat and some, just like a stairway.

We stopped at the Jackson Country Store and covered bridge we drove through before returning to our room for a little rest before dinner. There are pumpkin people all over town doing different things in preparation for Halloween. They are very nice 'people' and like having their pictures taken (BTW, it's 75 degrees - Indian summer)

Another fun day and great meal here (selfie time). More tomorrow.
