A Heavenly Cruise
The weather has been fantastic so far at 80-85 degrees daily.
This morning we enjoyed a very nice breakfast buffet here at the hotel and then strolled down to rent an electric boat for a one hour cruise around the lake, which turned into a two hour cruise. We all loved it. Our beautiful wooden boat with electric motor was only $5/ea/hr - a really great deal.
The weather was perfect, the lake was very calm, and the views were spectacular. That and these pictures explain why we stayed out for two hours.
After our extended cruise we stopped at a hotel for lunch in their dining room. The food was good but the salad we had was a little unusual to us - a green salad with fruit, nuts, and mushrooms. It was delicious and since we had a nutritious lunch we rewarded ourselves with a stop at the ice cream store for some tasty Gelato.
After a little shopping, Ric and Vicki relaxed a bit while Bill and Karen walked over to the Catholic church to visit the bonehouse. And by the way, it was nearly 100 steps up from our B&B up the hill. Lots of exercise up and down. Very cool church (literally after climbing so many stairs in the sun) and graveyard before entering the bonehouse.
After a nice rest, our day ended with dinner on the dock at our hotel followed by an evening walk. BTW - took this picture at 9pm and it's still light outside.
We all had a wonderful day here in Hallstatt and we are looking forward to another adventure in Salzburg tomorrow.

Top: looking at our B&B from our boat. Our room is 3rd floor far right corner and the Green's room is 2nd floor far left corner?

It seems land is at a premium and they don't have any more space in their graveyard, so when someone has been buried for 10 years, they are dig them up so someone else can be buried there. The bones that are dug up are put in the bonehouse and the skull is painted with decorations and the persons name and the date of their death. It was a little creepy to see so many human skulls and bones.
