The Vast South Pacific

Today was a sea day and you can see sea forever! Nothing else in site, not another ship or bird. And the sea is an incredible color - indigo blue - a color we've never seen in the world.

I thought we'd include a map of our cruise outlining where we are going since departing Moorea last night at 5pm. As well, we'll include some pictures of our ship.

Our next island to explore is Fakarava Atoll.

The Grand Dining room.

Grand Dining Room waiting for a 'Grand' breakfast to be served.

Our room: king bed, couch, desk, balcony, etc.
The bathroom not only has a stand up shower, it has a separate full size tub.

We spent some time in the pool and jacuzzi and listened to live 50's & 60's music around the pool area before lunch. We truly enjoyed the music of our generation. After lunch, we enjoyed a short work out in the gym and have been doing lots of stairs hoping to not gain 20-lbs. due to the outstanding food.

Prior to dinner we attended the Captain's Cocktail Celebration. We then enjoyed having dinner with four of our fellow travelers and enjoyed meeting them (and talking politics!).

The Grand Staircase

The décor of the ship is very elegant and has an art deco style that reminds us of an elegant 1920s grand palace.  They have done a beautiful job with the interior design.

GO RAMS.
