Where's my Hat?

Hilton Head - a golfers paradise! But you'll have to wait a bit to understand todays title.

As planned, the guys left the condo early this morning so the ladies could catch up on their beauty sleep -like they need it. They always look good. Anyway, today's challenge was The Golden Bear at Indigo Run, a Jack Nicklaus golf course.

The golf pro (Larry) managed to tame the course although he had a ball in the water as did Randy. Larry convinced Randy to leave his ball as an alligator was staring him down. Good thinking Randy. Even though the "pro" had a ball in the water as well, he recovered and shot 3 over par...that's our golf pro Larry. Bill had a rocky front nine after paring the first hole but, after a golf lesson/tip from Larry, he made up ground on the back nine. They had a good time and enjoyed the course although the greens this year were a little sad.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch - oops, condo - the ladies enjoyed their morning breakfast then went to their favorite garden center, which they call the Rogers Garden of Hilton Head.

After lunch at the condo, it was time for our annual Harbor Town visit to see the famous lighthouse, shops and harbor with multi-million dollar yachts.

On the way back we stopped for a afternoon Gelato and a drugs store stop (essentials like bandaids, etc.). As we headed back to the condo in the van, one of the ladies (I will not say which one) asked "where's my hat"? As we looked around in the van, and at our ages we've all been there, someone said, its on your head! A precious moment with great friends.

Dinner tonight was at the Hilton Head Diner Restaurant where Mom and Pop dish out home made vitals. Good food, good friends, great prices! Then a mean game of mexican train before turning in for the night.
