Zion National Park
After spending a week in Park City with friends, we stayed at the Zion National Park Lodge for 2-nights. We choose to not do a nightly blog but instead, a photo blog like we did for PC. We checked in at 4 pm, then off we went on our first trek to Emerald Pools, an easy hike taking us about 1 1/2 hr round trip. The park is beautiful and the weather was perfect. It's amazing to look up at the sheer rock mountain sides that reach an elevation of over 2,000 feet above you. Awe inspiring! We loved having dinner on the 2nd floor overlooking the grassy area in front of the lodge as the deer enjoyed an evening of fresh greens as well. On our 2nd day, we spent all day site seeing along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, stopping often to hike. High up on the rocky mountain, we saw a interesting formation, so we decided to go for it with a couple water breaks along the way. We enjoyed the destination and...
